Just Scrappy!

Things are just scrappy. I've managed to over-spend this week...no surprise there. Lots of goodies from Sweetwater (pp, rubons, flowers, etc..), some BG papers (Pheobe), S.E.I. papers, Queen & Co. brads, HS Foam Stamps and bling, MM Foam Stamps, PS Rubons, TONS of Valentines stuff from Hobby Lobby (90% off baby!!)... my list could go on. I've been doing this every week now, it really has to stop or I will have no place to store any of it!

The good news is, I've been scrapping a lot, so at least it's getting used!

And thanks to Tammy at SC, I'm hooked on Stickles!!!!

American Idol Challenge

The First Challenge is IN!!

The 48 semifinalists will be performing for America this week, and the Design Team Girlies will determine their fate. This week 8 contestants will be eliminated, leaving 40 finalists vying for the American Idol crown. Who will make it through the first round of cuts? Find out on the first live AMERICAN IDOL Results Show on February 28th.

Your first challenge is to choose any song (go figure ) for your LO. Your title must be a word or words used in the song, but NOT the title. For example... If you were to choose the song "You are my sunshine" Your title could be "you make me happy" or "happy" or any other word/s in the song besides the "You are my sunshine" title.

ALSO, include at least one technique with a brief explaination of the technique used.

AND you must use at least 3 different patterned papers

Entries must be uploaded by February 27th, 7pm CST to the "Top 48" category.

There will be 8 eliminated this round.

LOs can be 8.5x11 or 12x12, single or double

Busy Bee!

I entered a couple of contests this past week!

KI Memories Contest at ScrapGalaxy, which is an awesome MB, btw... lotsa friendly people!! and I used one of the same layouts to enter the Scrap-Tastic American Idol Contest (which btw, I made the top 48 WOOHOO!). I really just joined so I'm still getting to know the board and people.

I don't think I can enter more than that at a time...it's so stressful!! The anxiety of waiting....sheesh! lol

Last night I started working on a layout with some pp that I bought last Nov. at the SC retreat. I can't believe how long I can sit on paper. I know it's pretty, but it must be used! Make room for the new stuff! Speaking of new stuff....

I cannot WAIT to get my hands on all the new yummies from CHA!!!

Love me some Hobby Lobby!

I just love this place. Seriously, I'm addicted. I would actually consider working here. Just to drool over all the yummy products, stock new inventory and be the first to see it, and of course an employee discount.

This week I finally bought the Autumn Leaves (Rhonna) Flourish stmaps, a new stamp block, more patterened papers, alpha stickers, album refills, cardstock, kraft paper and all at 1/2 price! And I'm going back before this week's sale ends. I'm crazy.

March Madness

No, not basketball...scrap-madness!

March 10th - All day retreat! Trying hard to get myself there!!

March 23rd-25th - Weekend long retreat with my gal pals!! This one is pretty much a 'done deal'! WOOHOO!

Hmmm

Not nearly unpacked yet, still have tons of boxes/furniture in storage... but hubby got me a scrap table (ahem, it's actually a dining table with 6 chairs) for me to scrap on. Hmmm, now, where exactly do I put it?? Till the new dining table/chairs arrive it's in the dining room (appropriate, wouldn't you say?). The office is so small, we've tried figuring out how to arrange everything but no such luck. I'd hate to get booted to the garage!

Saturday Crop

I cropped with the JPS group last night! We had 5 show up to crop and 3 show up to shop and chat! We always have low attendances at store crops... I don't know why, but we do. Our in-home crops usually have 9-12! Well, we had fun anyways. I got two layouts finished with another in the works before I left. I also won one of the drawings! WooHoo! I love the S.E.I. Penelope's potpourri line too!

February Kit!!

I got my uber cool kit from SC today!! LOVE IT!!!!

Wow!

I haven't updated in a month! I guess that's what happens when you just get busy and have too many things going on. 2007 has been a pretty good year thus far. I got tons of scrap stuff for Christmas, albeit late, still a nice surprise from family! I've managed to get 4 crops in, in between moving out of the hotel and into the house... what a fiasco it's been.

The last week of January I decided to try out for a local store design team. I busted my butt to finish my first obligations to SC and my layouts for them, then I got sick! I cranked out 7 layouts and 2 altered items after running a 104 temp! That was FUN!! What can I say, you gotta do what ya gotta do! ;)

So the results were that I didn't make the local team. Not surprising after I found out who the "judges" were. I won't even go into the drama. It was just disappointing knowing that women sometimes act the way they do! Funny thing is, one of my good friends DID make the team...so a big WOOHOO for her. Hooray!

Oh oh oh...I did get a spot for June as their Guest Designer!
