Ahhhhh!!!!

I'm 700 miles from home with limited scrap supplies and I have the scrappin' itch so bad! I visited a LSS here where my parents live. It is super nice! It had actually moved to another location since I was there last year. It has a full service kitchen...wowzers! Cabinets, sinks, fridge, stove-top, etc..
Unfortunately, I didn't see much that I needed/wanted as they didn't have much that was newer. The crazy thing about their location is that it's right next door to a Hobby Lobby! I don't know how they stay in business!! There I got some of the new Love, Elsie ... I think it's Riley. Super cute!

And I have to tease you just a little.... I have some super great news but I can't say anything right now, not till I get the "go ahead". This is an awesome opportunity for me ... I'm completely psyched!!!!!! Maybe sometime next week. I just know I had to wait till sometime after CHA!

Anyway, I'll leave you on that note... isn't that ornery?! :)

I'm enjoying the beginning of my 3 wk vacation. The kids are doing great and enjoying time with family. My brother and his wife delivered their twins yesterday... they're beautiful baby boys!!! I can't wait to make some pages for them. Well, enjoy your week!

*Sketch This Cards! Week 3* Last Entry!

It's the last week for Sketch This Cards! 3 week contest. I enjoyed all of the sketches, all three were great... and I love seeing all the participants cards! So, here's mine based on the sketch.



Isn't this such a fun card?! I really enjoyed making this one. It's super cute in person, so I had to take another close up of the curled paper!

Cool Website!

I desperately needed to clean out my favories and organize the ones I wanted to keep, so I did that today! My computer is getting bogged down again, it really needs more than just minor detailing! lol

While doing that I ran across a website that I saved and forgot all about! Something I apparently do often! So, I thought I'd share with you all!!

It's really cool! It is a paper generator, for writing tablet type paper!
You can choose the color lines you want, sizes, etc.. Great for printing on any color cardstock!

Scrappy Gourmet Contest

I entered the Sizzling Summer Scrappy Gourmet Cook Off at The Scrapy Gourmet!

The deadline was yesterday and they make the announcements tomorrow! I haven't entered any contests (other than Sketch This! Cards) in a while, so I forgot what it was like on my nerves! haha! Which, btw my card for week 2 is due and I'm not finished! ekk!!

So, I uploaded I think 6 layouts into the Scrappy Gourmet (I love that name!!) contest! I wish they had a forum, there's not much chatter on the gallery.

Busy Week!

I've had a super busy week, and it flew by so quick. I finished up babysitting for a friend of mine, she needed me for a few weeks...her girls are so sweet, but having 5 kids in the house mentally drained me! It was probably good for me though, to keep me grounded and happy with having my three! hehee

I've had to finish up my DT projects so that I can get them shipped this Monday. I got two really fun kits, Creative Imaginations Pajama Jam and Reminisce Beach Party.

Off to bed, I've had a long day of shopping and hangin' with the girls playing Bunco! Hope you had a great weekend!

For the AI Fans!!

Tonight was the big night....AI Tour Concert, Media Passes with Interviews, Meet & Greets....the night couldn't have been better, seriously, I was as giddy as a teeny bopper! We got to enter with the media and press for interviews. They only had 5 come in, so we got to meet with (in order); Sanjaya, LaKisha, Chris, Jordin and Phil. They were all SUPER nice, so down to Earth...and we enjoyed not "pressing" them! :) I can't wait to scrap all of these pics along with my Autograph sheet!

July Crop

Last night was our local group's monthly crop. I had a great night. It was very lax. I took little to work on, mainly the album for my brother and his wife. They are expecting twins next month so I thought they would love a small album.
It was a great night. Lots of laughs as usual, and the yummiest chocolate covered strawberries... mmmm!! I'm so sad that I'll miss next month's hostess crop!

Finally cranked out a card from the CPS site. I wanted to do something for the Holiday and I love how it turned out. It was a pretty simple sketch, we just had to use a star or stars. It was optional to use an Independence Day theme.

New Header

Did you notice the new header I made? Something simple that I had made for our local scrap group's cafépress store. I decided to use it as my header also. I really love how simple it is. Also... did you notice my mug over there?? -----> LOL!

New and Old

I worked on a couple of fun layouts yesterday. Both 12x12 ("old") and a 8 1/2x11 ("new"). I'm trying to get through my 'scrap' stash since I have a lot of good sized scraps. I do give some to my oldest DD but right now she has a LOT of paper packs. The girl is only 6 and she's a serious paper-addict!!! Ekkk!!

So, I decided to scrap some pics from our December MNO (moms night out) from my playgroup. These papers are all scraps (and I've officially used an ENTIRE line of paper! WOOHOO) from the Junkitz Fanciful line I received in my kit from Scrapbook Central last month. I didn't realize I had enough for an entire layout! :D



The only thing missing is some journaling I added to the left of the bottom picture. After seeing this pic again I realized I want to cut my hair again. I really like the shoulder length.

Now for the 'new'.... I used scraps from the SEI Aunt Gerti's Garden. This would be ALL of that line as well! I love using scraps... I feel like I really get my monies worth! :)

The journaling says "don't think too hard baby girl, it's just playtime".



That's it for me. Since it's gloomy in not-so-sunny-Florida today we will probably stay in ... which means scrappin' for me. Maybe I will do some July 4th layouts!

Prism Goodies!!!!

My box of goodies arrived yesterday all the way from Utah ... lots of cardstock, yummy, yummy cardstock and envelopes!! Thanks so much CPS and Prism!!! I'm most excited about the 3 Prismatics Accent Packs I received that are all in the 6x12 size! Talk about really wanting to try some of those 6x12 layouts now!!

Inspiration!

Last night I sat down with a friend and scrapped for a little bit. As I looked thru my printed photos I made a hast decision to do my first 8 1/2 x 11 page. {Gasp}. I had no idea how to cram my usual 12x12 in a smaller space. I get such inspiration from Staci C. and her pages... which are always awesome!

Now, the irony of me doing a different size last night is that when I went to Staci's blog this afternoon I see she ventured out of her comfort zone last night and cropped a 6x12 page! How funny!!

So, this page is entirely "Staci Style"... I love it!!
