Feelin' Scrappy!!

I've been feelin' scrappy all week, but I took a little break since the retreat. Today I needed to finish my challenge for Scrap-Tastic... made me feel all scrap-happy again!! Here's the details of the challenge;

Challenge #8- You Be The Judge

Everyone knows the infamous American Idol judges, Randy, Paula and Simon. Although Simon can be a really tough judge, sometimes we can be our own worst critic.

So, here is what I'm looking for:

1. Create a LO (any size)
2. Include on your LO at least 3 good qualities about yourself, and 3 things where you are probably your worst critic.
3. Include on your LO:
- The word "judge" or the form of the word, somewhere in your title.
- doodling (by hand or template)
- a quote
- at least one non-scrapbooking item

So, here is my take on the challenge....

The title is "I'll Be the Judge".
I used: 7 Gypsies, MME, Making Memories, K&Co., Heidi Swapp, American Crafts

My non-scrapbook item is Parchment Paper. I crinkled and distressed it, then made a 2layer bow out of it. I doodled around the edges of the paper, as well as the label.

And my quote reads: "It's never too late to mend your ways" - American Proverb

I Heart My Mailman

Only when he delivers big packages to my doorstep, no bills please! ... actually I've received 3 this week so I can't leave out the UPS guy either! :D

I just got a sweet package full of goodies from The Scrappy Gourmet that I ordered last week... I'm in love with Pink Paislee.... ahhhhh!!! I know I'm a little behind in my order but things kept getting in my way of sitting down and getting it all together. It was worth the wait! :D

My scrapbook group also got their Tshirt orders in... so cool that we finally have our own shirts! YAY! We decided to stick with the original logo... which is cool and simple, yet a little whimsicle! What do you think?

Well it's just after noon and I'm already pooped! My son had a field trip today with his VPK class ... I love kids but boy they were rowdy 4 year olds! lol I need a nap!

Been Busy!!

This month has flown by! I attended an all day crop on the 12th, the proceeds went towards a local charity... it's always nice to give back and enjoy yourself doing it!
I was somewhat productive, got a few layouts finished.... had lunch with some friends and a little shopping afterwards, so it was a nice day out!

I entered their Layout contest, got 1st RU and then was the Grand Prize raffle winner... woohoo! :) I came home with lots of goodies!! Here was my entry layout:

My second layout of my oldest at her Kindgarten Graduation...

This one was for my round 6 entry for the American Idol contest at Scrap-Tastic (we had to design our "Album Cover")....I made it to the next round!! YAY!!

I got home last night from our semi-annual weekend retreat in Orlando! I think this was the best one yet... we had so much fun! Michelle from Scrapbook Central always does such a great job with her retreats!!

Here are some of my layouts from this weekend;

My round 7 challenge for the American Idol contest at Scrap-Tastic. We had to feature 3 of 11 products listed (ie; paint, black cardstock, metal, leather, etc..)
I chose to use metal, bling and black cardstock with the Rusty Pickle Mayflower line. I love this layout!! I may not be a real Rock Star.. but it's fun to imagine!!
I have to thank Angel for taking some awesome pics! Thanks for making me look like a star! :D

This is my son and nephew skatebording last summer... aren't they cool?!?!

Oh goodness... one of my favorite layouts (and I even had a cocktail during this one! lol)... so girlie, and look at those toes!! lol

My kiddos with my brother... they are all so goofy, it runs in the family genes for sure!

During Easter this year I finally got a good picture of me and my sister! I was so happy to finally use that American Crafts paper! Love it!! Oh and I was also happy to find those Imaginisce flowers that Melissa Phillips sent me last year... they went perfect with this layout!!!

My little Power Ranger... he loves to dress up just as much as his sisters, thankfully it's not ballerina skirts, heels and jewelry anymore! haha

And last one for today... this is my oldest and her cousin during our visit last summer.

Now I need to catch up on what everyone else has been up to this past week!!

Having so much fun!

I'm having a lot of fun with the AI Challenges at Scrap-Tastic this year! I made it through round 5 this past week! Our layout had to be 2 pages, circles used and we had to scrap our 'Diva Demands'!

So I asked if my peeps would help me out... they're troopers, I tell ya! We had a lot of fun, laughed our tails off and got some great pictures!! I'm not sure if my oldest DD liked me using one of her crowns though! haha!

So, our next round is to do a layout as our album cover! I'm doing photos tomorrow... and have already sketched it all out! I can't wait to work on it!

Aside from that I'm getting ready for an all day crop on Saturday. That should be a lot of fun. I haven't done much else these days. I'll have to share about my new obsession soon and about some of the photo shoots I've done over the last few weeks!

My kiddos are in bed so I'm off to relax for a bit!! :)

Hooray, we're in the clear!

At least I think so... it's been a few days without anyone... well I won't go into details! lol My kids can finally enjoy the remainder of their Spring Break, it always go by quickly!

Noel Mignon has a new challenge up! The theme is "Let's Play Ball" and the deadline to enter is April 11th. The challenge winner will be the GDTM for May! Here is my GDT exmaple for the challenge;

Round 4 at Scrap-Tastic is over... and I'm happy that I made it to the next round!! Here was my entry for this last round. Our page title had to be the title of a song from the year we were born. I used Stevie Wonder's, "Isn't She Lovely", from 1976!

What have you been up to lately??
