Hooray For Birthdays!!

My baby girl, Bella, turns 2 today! She's been talking about her party all day, so cute! She holds up her fingers and says, "Bella two now, we bounce at Bella's party"! She's getting a huge bounce house for the day! It'll be here first thing in the morning. The other two think they are going to bounce all day...which would actually be nice, something to keep them occupied! :D

I'm anxious to see her cake... my DH was actually in charge of that this year. A lady he works with makes cakes and brought in her portfolio. He says they're really good...I'm totally going on his word! lol I did email them pictures of cakes I'd like to have so hopefully it'll look like some I picked out.

And I'm in the middle of baking these for all the kids too...

So, I've got a full day ahead of me, it should be FUN FUN!!

Just around the corner...

Just a few more days and it'll be MARCH! Lots of fun things happening around here... my baby girl will be 2, wow! That just doesn't seem right...why do they have to grow so fast?! I've been taking care of party plans this week. We're going to have a big Princess Bounce House and lots of her little friends are going to come play with her for the day...so much fun! I'm excited about seeing my hubby use the grill for a change! haha!

Ohh, another cool thing happening in March is my featured project for The Scrappy G! I can't wait for everyone to see it...I fell totally in love with the album and layouts...here are a few sneak peeks! :)

It'll be up on the site shortly after the first....so don't forget to go check it out! The kit comes with SO MUCH yummy goodness, okay I have to stop before I give anything away! :D

Clip it up, baby!!

Okay so I'm totally riding on Staci's coat tails about her new storage, but it reminded me that I haven't shown off my cool 'clip it up' that one of my awesome friends made FOR ME as a surprise!!!!

I love the one Staci made also. I saw something similar not too long ago and hopefully when I get my much bigger scrappy room I can have several under cabinet rods too! But this is still the coolest gift anyone has made for me! I love it! Still need to get more clips since I have a million other things to add, so overlook my safety pins, will ya?!

Hit my limit of tags this year... but

I think I've hit my limit of being tagged this year! LOL But, for my good friend I will go ahead and play :D

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Ten years ago:
I was out of college, moving to Florida and starting my own business.

Things on my to-do list today:
1. Nothing

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
Travel, buy several homes (near our two families and a couple of vaca houses), shop (a whole lot) and just enjoy a year off with my husband and kids! Then start investments and philanthropy.

Three of my bad habits:
1. I'm somewhat of a Pack Rat
2. Often a procrastinator
3. Drink too much Diet Soda

Three places I have lived:
1. Kentucky
2. Tennessee
3. Florida

Five jobs that I have had:
1. Assistant to a CPA Assistant (17, High School)
2. Secretary's Assistant to Fire Department Head (18, College)
3. Jewelry Sales (20)
4. Senior Research Assoc., Recruiting Firm (21)
5. Business Owner (22-28) (and Mom since) :)

Five Things people don't know about me:
1. I have one Tattoo
2. I have my belly pierced
3. I have my ears pierced 6 times
4. I'm named after both my Grandmothers
5. I love Politics

I'm stopping the tag here! :D

Back to the Groove of Things

I love long school breaks, but I definitely don't like having to get back into the groove of things once the break is over! It was a 4-day weekend for us... lots of little get-togethers with friends grilling and scrapping, a Moms Night Out, shopping, etc.. so it was a fun weekend! I finally broke out some of my Noteworthy. I bought some a couple of months ago and hadn't touched it. I do that all too often but with this stuff, I just love it so much! Crazy!

On another note, the layout I made for the Noel Mignon challenge 'My Old Kentucky Home' was picked!! SO EXCITED!! So, I'll be the Guest Designer for them next month!

Happy Valentines!!

My biggest obstacle today is laying off the Lindor Truffles! I think I've managed to finish off all of the Dark Chocolate ones and have migrated over to Milk Chocolate (sigh). LOL! It's been a beautiful day today and I was so happy to get out and visit both of my kid's classrooms. I delivered cupcakes to my son's Pre-K class right as they were exchanging Valentines. He was so excited to see me and his baby sister and of course all the kids wanted what I had in the container! I drove home to pick up 2 more dozen and head to the other school. I walked in just as they were finishing up with their exchanges... forget me and the fact that I had SWEETS, I had a "BABY" with me!! LOL All those little girls flocked to my 23 month old... it was so cute!

Seeing their faces and getting the little 'Thank You' notes after school was well worth staying up till 4:30am baking, decorating and organizing 4 dozen cupcakes. I love being a Mom!

Aren't they yummy?!

BPM February!!!

The February Kits at Back Porch Memories have been posted... the DT has been busy uploading all of their layouts and projects! So much awesome stuff, it's so cool to see all the different variations of the products used. It's been a fun month (it went by way fast, didn't it?!) as Guest Designer!

Here are my projects posted at the BPM Gallery:

And this last layout was not made from the kit specifically but a lot of the papers and embellishments can be found in both the Solo and Medley kits!

Thanks for taking a peek! Check out the rest of the projects here!

Hometown Memories

Last week I visited Jana's blog and learned about Noel Mignon...wow, love her stuff! And Jana is so talented, she rocks the NM kits! So I see a new challenge posted and decided to enter, I needed this! It was good to sit and reminisce about my Hometown, recollect all the good times, my family and my roots. It really made me miss where I'm from though, it was such a great place to grow up....despite the fact that we were bored out of our minds most of the time! lol Sometimes I wish my kids could experience the small town advantage, but then again they love everything a city has to offer. Anyway, here's my layout...

My title is based on Kentucky's State Song and each photo represents something that is memorable to me. I bound my journaling strips to make a flap. Each strip corresponds to the numbered picture explaining what those mean to me.

This was a great challenge. I sure do miss Kentucky sometimes.

Keeping Count!

This super neat idea was posted on Back Porch Memories, I love it! An easy way to keep track of the layouts you create. How simple is that... just toss in a button!

I used some of my leftover MM product; Sea Foam Paint for the top, trim and twill for the body, MM glitter alphas and topped with a MM Noteworthy Die cut flower! My jar makes me happy! :)

Priceless!!

This is just priceless....well, I'm not sure if it's seeing my brother in Heart Print Flannel Bottoms or the fact that his first child ended up being twins (imagine an evil snicker about now)... lol! He sent me some photos from a shoot he had w/ the boys, I oo'd and awe'd at them all day, then made a quick layout with a few of them... just so sweet!

January is gone!

It doesn't seem like February should be here already! We're a month into the new year and it's been crazy busy for us. I've been spending a lot of time cropping with friends... just this past month I've been to and hosted 7 crops! :o You'd think I would have tons of stuff to share... but not yet! I'm rotten!

Back Porch Memories has their February Kits up, so much nice stuff including a gorgeous shade of Burnt Red Glimmer Mist! Just as I'm typing this you can still see the red stain all over my fingers! lol

The Design Team has their first layouts posted as their 'sneak peeks', and this one is mine;

I have been waiting to scrap this picture of oldest daughter's and son's feet/toes! They look so much alike, even down to their pinky toes. But of course they thought Mommy was so weird to take pictures of their feet! lol Oh well. I love how it turned out... those Maya Road Office Shears are going to be another addiction for me.

Since it's late I'm going to clean up my mess and get some sleep. I will have some more sneak peeks for The Scrappy Gourmet soon (I hope)...and don't forget that the Chef's Blog Challenges are still going on until February 14th. You have the chance to win one of each Chef's kits that are featured in the store.... tons of awesome stuff, so definitely worth entering!!

G'night! Enjoy Superbowl Sunday! :)
