She's got some 'splainin' to do!

I've been so busy. I had no idea November would be such a crazy month, I can't believe it's almost December already!

I have, however, managed to catch up on getting pictures of everything I've worked on... including the retreat that was 3 weeks ago! We had an after-school playdate today and the girls scrapbooked a few pages. It's so fun to sit back and watch. You get no say in where, what or how.... just provide the glue, trimmers and the space and watch out! These girls were very serious. Of course, it's serious business! I've already been instructed to print out some photos for these pages. She knows exactly which one she wants too.... I have to admit, the pages are pretty darn cute.

Speaking of cute. I love this photo of my youngest and one of her little friends. And since I can't get enough of this Mellow I had to scrap these together! By the way, I had all my photos printed on the Kodak Metallic paper. Wow. AMAZING. My pictures went to a whole new level with this paper! It's worth trying out. Darn, too bad there's no kick-backs from Kodak! :D

A Fierce Eye!

My oldest, who's seven, picked out all the paper for this card. Now, that's a fierce scrappy eye.... it's in her genes for sure! hehe!

This is a Thank You card for one of her friends who attended her birthday party a couple of weeks ago. Her main request... Pink. Lots of Pink.

Love this girl!

Oh Christmas Tree....

Why do you have to be so big???

Our tree is about 7' or taller.... the thing is massive. It's our first year having it up in our own home (last year we used it at our Playgroup Holiday Party) so I had no idea just how big it would be in the house. Jason and I get all the decorations out yesterday and find about 5 bad strands of lights. Off to the store we head this morning and bought about 400 more. Well that only put me about 1/3 of the way up the tree. Now we're at about 700 lights and need more. So, the kids and I headed to the store once more and purchased 500 more. It doesn't look promising..... I think I'll spread them out a little more, I'm ready to get the tree finished!

The kids are painting their new ornamanets for the tree while I fight with the lights!

How many lights on your tree do you end up with?

All Gobbled Up!

We have zero leftovers! Amazing... they usually last at least a week. How was your Thanksgiving? We were very thankful to have friends share their bounty with us this year. Since neither of our families are near we always try to open our house to others during the holiday season.

We had a feast for sure! Turkey, Dressing, Sweet Potato Casserole, Squash Casserole, Green Beans, Broccoli-Rice Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Rolls, Cranberry Dressing, Pumpkin Pie, Derby Pie, Chess Pie and Pecan Pie! YUMMMMY!! Everything with the exception of the Turkey, Dressing and Rolls I made.

After a long day I hit the sack so I could wake early and shop. My alarm went off at 3:30am! I got in line at Target around 4:30am. Friend #1 met me (with Starbucks and a Sour Cream Donut in hand) around 5:25am and Friend #2 met us inside after 6am. We were about 40 people back from the doors... not too bad! I got everything I had on my list and didn't have to throw any elbows...hehee, not that I would have. Actually, everyone was polite and considerate.... no fights, no pushing, no crowd control needed. It was a long day, 9 hours of shopping with no kiddos in tow.... sweet!

I ended up hosting our crop the same night so I had been up for 23 1/2 hours by the end of the day. I think getting 2 1/2 layouts finished was pretty good. Needless to say, yesterday was a lazy day! :)

Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend!!

The Signs of New Weather

It's here. That time of year that you stock up on Puffs, Water, Broth & Noodles (for homemade Chicken Noodle Soup!) and lots of sleep. I hate colds. They're so annoying. How can it pass up the two kids who are in school and my husband who's at work every day and catch me and the baby?! Crazy. So, the last few days have felt like I've slept through them. I am so ready to work on Holiday projects!! I'm definitely ready for the shopping race on Friday.... Bring. It. On! :D I have my list ready, and I think I'll drag my sister in on my hair-brained schemes!

Will you be out bright and early Friday morning?

Here's a fun card I made with the Basic Grey Mellow line! We're always having playdates with friends, so this is exactly what came to mind when I was looking at the papers and die cuts!

Recuperating!!

This past weekend was our annual retreat in Orlando! I'm still recuperating! I had such a great time, but getting 14 hours of sleep over 3 nights/4 days eventually catches up to you, Monday was that day. I'm was complete zombie!

Michelle, from Scrapbook Central, always does a great job at accomodating all of us and providing everything we need for a great weekend away from home!

I had a blast with all my friends and meeting new people...I already look forward to our new annual tradition next year!

Was I productive? Hmm, well that is definitely up for question. hehe My husband looked at my stash as I unpacked, loved all my layouts but had the hilarious "is that all?" comment and of course my sister added to the fuel, "you were gone THAT long and only did that much??!". Silly people, they just do not understand! :D
But I know YOU all do, right? I mean, finishing 8 layouts in 4 days alone is "productive", huh?!! Help me out here! lol

I've spent the last couple of days hanging out with my sister, who is here staying with us indefinitely.... I'm loving that! Today we hosted a picnic at the park with my youngest daughter's little friends, so cute watching a handful of little ones running around and playing together. I took so many pics of all of them... just wanted to eat them all up!!

And now I'm finishing up everything for my oldest daughter's birthday party this weekend. She turned 7 (ackkk!!!) this past Sunday. My babies are growing up too fast!

Hope you've had a wonderful week. I need to make all my rounds and catch up with all 'yous guys'! :)
